We are delighted to announce that Midas Domburg Check Me Out at Tintigny won his 3rd CC and therefore his Champion title at Manchester under specialist judge Nick Grosvenor.  Our sincere thanks to everyone for their congratulations and overwhelming support of Midas both ringside and since our return home.  Our thanks of course also goes to the judges who have placed him so highly in relatively few appearances, having to date accumulated 3 CCs, 1 BOB, 5 RCCs, twice BPIB and a Puppy Group 3.

Africa awarded BSDA’s Top Tervueren Brood Bitch 2009.  What a fantastic year for her progeny in the UK winning between them 4 CCs, 2 BOBs & 8 RCCs, the highlight winning all four major awards at East of England under breed specialist Janice Clifford (Ebontide).   Not to be outdone her daughter in South Africa became a champion while her daughter in America already a champion won several group placings.

At Windsor Ch show under breed Specialist Janet Biddlecombe (Tanje) Midas, Domburg Check Me Out at Tintigny, just days out of junior made his PG debut and won the CC.   Older sister Mayhem, Ch Tintigny Making Mayhem, won the RCC. A wonderful day for three of Africa’s offspring as Midas’ litter brother Vinho won his first RCC.

A new section has been added under the Progeny menu to include up to date photos of the recent litter by our home bred girl AKC Ch Tintigny Naughty But Nice, living with and much loved by all at Hillside Belgians, PA.  The puppies are now ten weeks old and have a photo gallery added.  Enjoy!

Having problems finding a flight back to Glasgow due to the Icelandic volcano, John managed to arrange an alternative flight for Teri that turned out to be the perfect solution.  Teri’s stay in Pennsylvania was extended by five days and she arrived at 8-30am on Friday morning at Edinburgh airport, a few minutes drive from SKC champ show where Midas was entered!

 

Rounding off a perfect plan, Midas - aka Ch Domburg Check Me Out at Tintigny - went on to win his 4th CC and BOB under specialist Jeff Luscott (Jalus) and was later short listed in the Pastoral Group under John McManus.  A trip of a lifetime, an unforgettable experience and what a homecoming!

Teri flew off to Pennsylvania for a reunion with our darling homebred girl, Shania, AKC Ch Tintigny Naughty but Nice.  Shania is owned and adored by Bonnie & Stan Kreider of Hillside Belgians and is now the proud mum of 8 beautiful puppies, 1 girl and 7 boys, when mated by AI to Ned Ch Fledder di Scottatura.  

 

Both of us flew over to the Amsterdam All Winners Show in November last year to ensure we’d found the perfect match for Shania in Fledder, a beautiful male in his own right with excellent breed type and temperament. Importantly this gave us the opportunity to line breed to the outstanding Ch Domburg Reve D’Amour - something which we believe worked exceptionally well when Africa was mated to her maternal half brother resulting in the Domburg Out litter from which, among others, our very successful young Ch Midas came.  We wanted to ensure that Bonnie & Stan retained all of Shania’s many virtues and was bred to a male which would help further improve breed type and a wider gene pool in the USA.   We will watch these puppies with interest and excitement and wish all of their new owners much success at home and abroad.
